**Position Overview**

We are seeking a skilled and reliable X-ray Installer / Repair Person to join our medical equipment maintenance team. As an electronics technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient installation, calibration, and ongoing maintenance of X-ray equipment in medical, chiropractor, and veterinary clinics. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing X-ray machines, adhering to safety regulations, and providing exceptional customer service to clients.

**Responsibilities**
- **Installation**: Oversee the installation process of X-ray machines and equipment at various medical facilities, ensuring proper alignment, positioning, and calibration according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- **Repair and Maintenance**: Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on X-ray equipment to address malfunctions, and electrical or mechanical issues, and ensure optimal functionality. Perform preventive maintenance to prolong equipment lifespan.
- **Troubleshooting**: Investigate and troubleshoot technical problems reported by clients and healthcare personnel, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- **Safety Compliance**: Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and radiation safety guidelines during installation, repair, and maintenance procedures, protecting both the equipment operators and patients.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of all equipment installations, repairs, inspections, and service visits. Complete service reports, documenting actions taken and any replacement parts used.
- **Customer Support**: Interact with clients and medical staff in a professional and courteous manner, providing excellent customer service and addressing their concerns promptly.
- **Training and Education**: Provide training to medical personnel on the proper use and care of X-ray equipment to maximize efficiency and reduce the risk of damage.
- **Quality Control**: Perform quality control checks on X-ray images to ensure accurate and clear results, troubleshoot image quality issues, and recommend improvements.
- **Inventory Management**: Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts and tools necessary for X-ray machine repairs and replacements.
- **Stay Updated**: Stay current with the latest technological advancements and industry trends in X-ray equipment, attending training and workshops as required.

**Training**

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; Technical or vocational training in electronics, or an electrical-related field is preferred.
- Proven experience as an X-ray Installer / Repair Person or in a similar role, with a strong background in medical equipment maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of X-ray machine installation, calibration, and maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with X-ray safety standards, radiation protection, and electrical safety guidelines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in workmanship.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical individuals.
- Well oral and written English communication skills. French is an asset.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment as required.
- A valid driver's license and the ability to travel to different client locations is required. Work areas: Ontario and Quebec.
