**Summer Student - Handi Helper**

35 hrs/week, May to August

We are looking for a caring and responsible individual to assist seniors with various tasks in their homes and yards.

Location - North and South Dundas.

**What you'll do**:

- Contact clients and schedule appointments.
- Assist seniors with tasks at their home as scheduled including lawn care, weeding, painting, gardening, and indoor cleaning (vacuuming, dusting etc.).
- Manage fees, issue receipts, and reconcile payments with the office each day.
- Assist with the Adult Day program and Diner’s Club as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

**What you'll need**:

- Be a full-time student in post-secondary in a field of study such as Teaching, Nursing, Physical Therapy, Recreation, Social Work, or Gerontology
- Previous experience with seniors or persons with disabilities, and asset
- Previous experience in customer service
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, specifically Word & Excel
- Ability to communicate with clients, volunteers, family members and others in a positive manner
- Valid driver’s license and use of a reliable vehicle for local travel
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and be time efficient
- Full COVID-19 vaccination.

Contract length: 4 months

- Williamsburg, ON K0C 2H0: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Work Location: In person
