**THE ROLE**
Fitness, sports, recreation and health promotion programs are delivered by PSP on Bases, Wings and Units across Canada and in deployed operations. PSP delivers evidence-based programs, which contribute to the health and well-being of the military community and operational effectiveness of the CAF.

Under the supervision of the Sports Coordinator, the Sports Stores Clerk provides administrative services for the sports store and performs general maintenance and repair for the sports and physical fitness equipment. The incumbent assists customers and advises customers on use and care of equipment. They organizes equipment set up and take down. The Sports Stores Clerk issues, receives, marks, and stores equipment, as required.

An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.

**Experience**

In a recreation, fitness facility or similar environment

In providing customer service

**Competencies, Skills and Abilities**

Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.

Bilingual Essential

- This unionized position is open to all interested parties. Preference will be granted in accordance with the Collective Agreement for the UFCW local 175 bargaining unit at CFSG Ottawa-Gatineau.
- Perform moderate lifting, carrying, pulling and/or pushing (i.e. more 10 lbs/4.5 kg but less than 50 lbs/23 kg) as required.
