Edmonton, Canada Northern Star Behaviour Services Full time

Northern Star Behaviour Services is looking to hire a dedicated and energetic skilled individual to fill a contract-based BCaBA/RBT position in Edmonton and surrounding area.

Northern Star Behaviour Services offers:

- Comprehensive training (Safe Management Training with emphasis on non-violence and de-escalation technique)
- A supportive team (direct report to team BCBA in weekly sessions)

Role and Responsibilities
- Implement ABA therapy in 1:1 DTT and NET in the homes of the clients.
- Monitor child’s progress through data collection and graphing.
- Provide parent training, education, and support services.
- Collaborate to develop individual and/or group goals and strategies.
- Identify additional service needs as appropriate and assist family in accessing services.
- Provide modeling techniques and strategies
- Communicate with Senior Therapist and BCBA as well as parents on an on-going basis
- Adhere to company policies and procedures

**Qualifications**:

- 1 year of experience of working and teaching children with special needs (Autism included), or equivalent (e.g., BICA graduate with practicum experience)
- A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- Flexibility to work evenings (until 7pm)
- 2nd - 4th year university student in a related field/program (priority given to applicants specializing in behavioural training)
- ABA/Autism-related Diploma/Certificate is an asset. (RBT, BCaBA, pursuing BCBA designation)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Eager to learn
- Updated vulnerable sector check
- First aid and CPR trained
