Job Purpose:
A Project Manager at RWS manages projects delivery in line with client agreement - on time, in the required quality, within budget and with appropriate client treatment and responsiveness.

This a great opportunity to join our Project Management team to help support a big client of ours based in New York.

**About The **Strategic Solutions Group (SSG)**

The Strategic Solutions Group, part of RWS’s Language Services division, works closely with major accounts and clients of all sizes who are going global with specialized localization services. These services cover the entire localization spectrum, from translating content, media, and audio to creating engaging eLearning programs and transcribing highly impactful marketing campaigns. The SSG works closely with RWS’s Language eXperience Delivery (LXD) platform, which includes 2,000 in-house linguists, and a network of more than 29,000 translators, who use RWS’s proprietary machine translation, AI, and translation productivity tools, to deliver a 24/7 service to clients.

Le Groupe des solutions stratégiques, qui fait partie de la division des services linguistiques de RWS, travaille en étroite collaboration avec les principaux comptes et clients de toutes tailles qui se lancent sur le marché mondial grâce à des services de localisation spécialisés. Ces services couvrent l’ensemble du spectre de la localisation, de la traduction de contenu écrit, média et audio à la création de programmes d’apprentissage en ligne attrayants et à la transcription de campagnes de marketing très percutantes. Le SSG collabore étroitement avec la plateforme Language eXperience Delivery (LXD) de RWS, qui comprend 2 000 linguistes internes et un réseau de plus de 29 000 traducteurs qui utilisent les outils de traduction automatique, d’intelligence artificielle et de productivité de traduction exclusifs à RWS, pour offrir un service 24 heures sur 24, 7 jours sur 7 aux clients.

Job Overview:
**Key Responsibilities**
- Supports sales team through developing effective project delivery solutions/proposals including quotas.
- Completes project risk analysis and defines mitigation actions of the risks identified.
- Creates (prepares internal version) of project plans and schedules based on client-specific requirements. Applies appropriate contingencies in planning and resourcing.
- Allocates required project resources (people, tools, hardware, software, partners etc.).
- Prepares and completes project specific education, coaching.
- Creates and controls project budgets, does cost tracking, issues Purchase Orders and Invoices, approves work reports.
- In line with project plans: organizes, assigns, measures and monitors work of his/her project team members. Ensures team's compliance with standards, practices and policies.
- Ensures quality and timelines of team's deliveries, plus team's responsiveness and professional treatment of both external and internal clients.
- Updates, prepares regular reports and provides feedback to client, Direct Manager and peers about progress/forecast of project team's work, status of agreed KPIs (OTD, QD, works reports etc.), escalation of issues, support needed from management, others (Sales forecast, Work in Progress, vacation etc.)
- Organizes and leads project/client/partner meetings and calls (e.g. kick-offs, weekly, ad-hoc issue-solving, post mortems), records and distributes meeting minutes and monitors delivery of agreed action items.
- Solves issues or disagreements (system or product), identifies causes and sets corrective/preventive action.
- Maximizes utilization of his/her subordinates. Prepares alternative work for periods without projects - internal work on unit development, billable work for other teams and units.
- Ensures that specific knowledge is recorded and shared by his/her team across the company.
- Actively participates in Unit (corporate) management (meetings) - provides data, informs, proposes innovations, provides constructive feedback.
- Regularly follows industry news and trends. Improves his/her knowledge through active participation on trainings and self-trainings.
- Regularly monitors clients' satisfaction with his/her team's results and takes improvement actions.
- Participates in creation and implementation of Unit's strategy - owns some of the strategic tasks.
- Trains and coaches junior Project Managers. Creates methodologies, tools, checklists, etc. to improve project management process
