The Information Technology Specialist is responsible for providing various forms of computer-related technical assistance and improving the efficiency of the work of the staff using technology. Provide internal IT support (server security, software updates, hardware maintenance etc.).
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
- Communicating with staff or clients through a series of actions, remotely or face-to-face, to assist in setting up systems or resolving issues.
- Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.
- Maintaining/repairing/replacing PC and laptops parts as required.
- Providing support, including procedural documentation and relevant reports.
- Following diagrams and written instructions to repair a fault or set up a system.
- Working continuously on a task until completion (or referral to third parties, where appropriate).
- Prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time.
- Rapidly establishing a good working relationship with staff and other professionals.
- Creating positive external and internal image, including taking care of self
- appearance and workplace
- Compliance with internal regulations, procedures, law, and managers orders, including labor regulations, regulations on remuneration and other internal regulations in the company.
- Professional skills development by participation in training and constant self-education
- Knowledge of goals of quality, environment protection, safety and working in accordance with the policy of the company

- Network Infrastructure and Printer Management
- WAN/LAN monitoring.
- Monitoring DNS, DHCP.
- Internet traffic monitoring; and Maintaining network cables and WIFI.
- Ensuring proper connection to printers; and assisting in servicing printers.

General Maintenance:
- Solve IT Support ticket requests; and Manage IT inventory.
- Other tasks not specifically listed in this document may be assigned from time to time.
- Quality, Health & Safety:
- Perform assigned tasks to support DSV meets its objectives and targets regarding quality, health, safety, and environment and follow all requirements as set out in the DSV Quality Health Safety Environment policy.
- Staff are required to ensure that their day-to-day activities embrace sustainability, Health and safety therefore reducing the impact upon the environment, supporting the communities we work in and reducing incidents in the workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
- Technical School, Bachelor level in IT preferred but not required.
- Min. 3 years of Experience from Enterprise environment

Language and Computer Skills
- English is the principal language for this position, additional languages may be required in other locations.

- Knowledge of VM platforms such as Citrix and Windows.
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS specifically with Security Appliances and Managed Switches.
- Knowledge of MS SQL and SharePoint; and
- Overall knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite & Windows OS
- Intermediate troubleshooting skills of print related issues
- Drive and Printer Mapping
- Intermediate understanding of Network services TCP/IP
- Manage ticket reporting tool ensuring SLA’s met
- Ensure clean and organized racking of hardware and patching in the designated IT space as well as managing Vendor network circuits and Security Server solutions
- Strong knowledge of industry standard databases and toolchains
- Strong knowledge of current development tools and standards, including version
- Physical Demands
- Prolonged periods sitting and standing at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional travel may be required; national and International (approximately 15-20%)
- Requirement to regularly travel and support multiple buildings in local area
