Digital Marketing Assistant

Collaborating directly with our Digital Marketing Manager, this role serves as a key driver in shaping our distinctive retail brands that inspire people to venture outdoors and embrace a life of quality and comfort.

Key responsibilities:

- Assist in the creation, posting, and scheduling of content for social media campaigns on all major platforms.
- Strategize and develop engaging and SEO-focused content.
- Manage interactions on social media streams for our audience and partners.
- Develop and execute monthly campaigns, including tracking, prizing, and related tasks within defined budgets.
- Produce digital, written, and video content for social media and e-commerce platforms.
- Provide weekly updates and future plans to the Digital Marketing Manager.
- Respond to comments and messages on social media, including Shopify inbox.
- Post videos on TikTok and YouTube shorts.
- Create engaging stories for Instagram and Facebook pages.
- Assist and collaborate in building advertising META companies.
- Attend special events and provide social media coverage as needed.
- Collaborate with coworkers, retail managers, ambassador teams, and influencers to ensure a variety of content.
- Develop, organize, and schedule all campaign data, goals, tasks, etc.
- Maintain the highest standard of clarity, accuracy, professionalism, and integrity in all posts.
- Perform any other duties as required for the continued success of the role.

Requirements And Skills
- Experience managing social media accounts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Optimistic outlook and positive vibe
- Savvy on all things social and up to date on all social media trends
- The ability to think macro (how does this Instagram feed look for the next quarter?) as well as micro (what is a great headline for this post?)
- Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills
- Ability to emulate a variety of clients as an accurate, attentive social media ambassador
- Self-motivated, team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Up-to-date on the newest tools and changes to platforms

Position to be reviewed on an annual basis, unless there is a position change due to business growth. Coordination and support with management are essential to success.

Starting wage: $15 per hour
This is a permanent, full-time role.
Hours will generally be Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, but they may vary depending on our event schedule and the season.
You'll be stationed at our Take it Outside Halifax store on Vernon Street.
