**Available Schedules**:

- **Weekday**_(Monday - Friday)_ & **Weekend**_(Saturday - Sunday) _
- **24hr Schedules / Shifts are as follows**:

- **Morning Shift** 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
- **Evening Shift** 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
- **Night Shift** 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m.
- _(Temporary Casual Positions)_

**Mandatory Requirements**:

- **Completion of a Degree/Diploma in Child and Youth Care or Social Work is an asset**:

- Indigenous descendant preferred

**Qualifications**
- Knowledge of Mental Health practices is highly desirable
- Knowledge of Child and Youth Care Mental Wellness best practices
- Direct experience working with youth with complex behavioural and mental health challenges
- Mental Health First Aid
- Medication Administration Certification
- Valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C + AED
- Suicide Prevention Training
- Trauma Informed Care
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong technology and computer skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with person served
- A compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others improve their quality of life
- Previous experience in caregiving, home care, or assisted living environments is preferred

**Day to Day Responsibilities / Expectations**
- Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols
- Complete and maintain documentation of daily activities and observations
- Document care provided and report any changes in person served condition to the appropriate personnel
- Collaborate with Program Supervisor/Coordinator and Team Lead to develop ongoing care plans and programs that meet person served needs
- Work effectively as a team with coworkers to help achieve the person served goals
- Foster positive relationships with person served, promoting social interaction and emotional well-being
- Assist and demonstrate to person served positive life skills
- Establish a relationship to guide and support youth through mentorship, role modelling, and positive reinforcement
- Advocate for person served / youth
- Contribute and maintain "visual" (in home) calendars for medical appointments, school schedules, meal planning, leisure activities, etc.
- Provide caregiving services, including personal hygiene assistance and support
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual needs
- Contribute to and perform routine cleaning and organization responsibilities as part of maintaining a safe living space for person served and team
- Supervise person served within home and while in community
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Responsible for other possible duties assigned

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
