Elevate your career with **Vacterra Hydrovac Services** As a **Hydrovac Dispatcher**, you'll serve as our communication lifeline handling both emergency and non-emergency calls. In this role you'll play a critical part in coordinating our field operations, ensuring the accurate and timely transmission of information as a part of an accountable crew. **Responsibilities**:
- Receive and record emergency and non-emergency calls, extracting vital information.
- Tackle issues and requests with efficiency, providing solutions where needed.
- Dispatch orders for products and deliveries, prioritizing based on urgency.
- Utilize radio, phone, and computer systems to direct our field units.
- Keep tabs on field units, coordinating and optimizing their schedules.
- Provide field units with relevant information on orders, traffic, and more.
- Maintain meticulous records of all calls, activities, and relevant data.
- Create dispatch documents, generate invoices, and manage work tickets.
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and laws.
- Monitor and arrange vehicle repairs and maintenance.
- Manage inventory and transportation arrangements.
- Keep customers informed, record complaints and inquiries.
- Safeguard sensitive information to protect our organization's reputation.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience with Hydrovac Dispatch/Knowledge of Hydrovac
- Dependable, high-energy communicator.
- Calm under pressure, adaptable to change.
- Familiarity with the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley regions.
- Previous dispatcher or similar experience.
- Tech-savvy with strong data entry skills.
- Proficient in English (oral and written).
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Sound judgment and critical thinking.
- Attention to detail and your surroundings
- Ability to understand, follow and train employees on all procedures, policies and practices in our safety program
- Comfortable with technology - iPad used for completing and filing paperwork.
**Compensation**:
- Competitive $55,000-65,000/year salary
