Summary
The Nursery Attendant works as part of the Nursery Team. They are responsible for the overall safety and care of up to 30 children from aged 19 months to 6 years. They must help to meet each child’s individual needs in an enjoyable and safe environment whilst ensuring good communication with parents.
This is a full time or part time, seasonal role running from Nov through May. Please note that you may not receive full hours at the beginning/end of season and during other slow periods.

Job Requirements
- Minimum 18 years old
- Valid First-Aid (preferably Child Care)
- Clean and valid Vulnerable Sector check
- Must have a valid working Visa (to work with children)
Job Duties
- Keep the nursery clean and organized
- Ensure reservations are confirmed
- Recognize and cater to each individual child’s needs
- Care for children with specialized and complex needs
- Provide first aid as required
- Be familiar with nursery programs to ensure communication and understanding to the parents
- Demonstrate cooperation and coordination with other staff members and departments
- Ensure lunch time, quiet time and other scheduling needs are fulfilled
- Maintain a professional appearance, demeanour, and attitude at all times
- Assist in processing and collection of payments as well as daily reporting and cash-outs
- Maintaining inventory/supplies (inform Nursery Supervisor when low on particular materials)
- Adherence to the company’s policies and procedures as set in the “Employee Handbook” and “Nursery Training Manual”
- All Marmot Basin employees will conduct themselves in compliance with Alberta Occupational Health and Safety legislation as it relates to their job
- Understand and adhere to Ski Marmot Basin’s “Harassment Policy” and the company’s “Privacy Policy”.
