We are presently accepting resumes for a number of** Permanent Full-Time **Support Worker I positions.** **These positions will be assigned to work in our group homes in **Orillia, working up to 72 hours biweekly.**

**Compensation Package**:

- Hours of work are 8:00am - 8:00pm, 12-hour shifts for a total of 72 hours biweekly;
- Minimum starting rate of pay is $24.43
- 11 paid Statutory Holidays;
- Confidential Employee Assistance program for you and for your immediate family;
Following the successful completion of probation:

- Employer paid life insurance, health, and dental benefits;
- Employer paid vacation, personal leave, and sick time;
- Participation in RRSP with employer match up to 4%;
**Minimum Qualifications**:

- P.S.W. diploma or an acceptable educational equivalency (D.S.W., Child & Youth Worker, E.C.E., S.S.W., Nursing, Psychology, etc.) as determined by the employer is required;
- The successful applicant will be required to obtain their D.S.W. diploma or equivalent within 5 calendar years;
- 6 months of direct related experience in the Developmental Services sector;
- When submitting your resume and cover letter, please also upload a copy of your diplomas / degrees. In your resume, please ensure that you specify the length of your programs;
- Ability to work weekends and holidays;
- Ability to attend team meetings and training as required during daytime hours;
- A valid **class "G"** driver's license and own reliable transportation is required;
**Role/Duties**:
Our Support Workers provide support to individuals with intellectual disabilities with all aspects of daily living within a group home setting. Responsibilities include providing support with personal care, household duties, meal preparation and finances. You may also support people to appointments or events to foster connections within the community.
