- As our new
- **Billing Specialist**, you’ll be a key member of our finance team, ensuring that our high volume of invoices get sent out each week with a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.
- Responsiveness, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities will be critical to your success. Our team moves quickly, so we need someone who builds trust through competence, and brings initiative and tenacity to everything they do.
- We’re also recently upgraded to a new ERP system, so ideally you’re someone who is comfortable with software and technology, and excited to help build and create new, more efficient billing processes.Key Responsibilities

**Specific responsibilities will include**:

- Billing and Invoicing - creating draft invoices in collaboration with Project Managers in accordance with the billing schedule, sending final invoices to clients
- Activating project setup submissions, ensuring accuracy in billing rates, budgets, and contractual documents
- Ensuring financial related project maintenance such as budget updates, change orders, write-offs and closures are recorded in a timely and accurate manner
- Producing draft and work in progress (WIP) reports for project tracking
- Working/communicating with Project Managers, Project Controllers, Commercial Manager, Financial Controller and Collections Manager on issues such as aged WIP and A/R
- Assisting the accounting team with miscellaneous duties as required
- Supporting on-going initiatives and special projects

- 2+ years of experience in a billing or accounting role, ideally in a projects-based industry (engineering, consulting etc.)
- Experience working in a high-volume role, processing up to several hundred bills/invoices per week
- Experience working with project-based ERP software - Deltek Vision or Deltek Vantagepoint is a significant asset
- Experience working with clients and project managers
- Strong MS Office skills, with particular emphasis on Excel - LOOKUPS, pivot tables, formulas
- Post-secondary education in accounting, finance or similar- Country
