**Job Purpose**:
This position will report directly into the Med Education & Governance Director and will support the medical business on the execution of key educational tactics. The role will work directly with the cross-functional teams to coordinate, execute and lead the tactical medical education plans. It will also be accountable for coordinating all documentation associated with medical education events as well as handling the internal approval process. The role will work with external vendors on timelines and communicating execution plans.

**Details (Your Responsibilities)**:

- Initiate and oversee the planning, development & implementation of innovative, strategically aligned accredited, non-accredited and/or co-developed educational Vx initiatives with physician associations, vendors, and Key External Expert (KEE) Steering Committee members.
- Ensure compliance of med ed programs are aligned to Innovative Medicines Canada and GSK internal requirements.
- Partner across brands to build valuable educational programs aligned to our strategic direction.
- Partner with the relevant Medical and Marketing Managers for development and implementation.
- Diligent vendor management to ensure programs are delivered on budget and on time while being consistent with program objectives and compliance guidelines
- Work closely with the cross-functional teams, especially Medical to ensure scientific leadership in Content and with Sales to ensure optimal field implementation
- Communicate and collaborate with other Medical Education Managers to share new ways to work and seek opportunities to streamline and harmonize CHE/OLAs programs
- Supports the creation of multi-channel tactical solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Analyzes metrics, industry trends and competitive programs to obtain insights into anticipated educational needs
- Supports In-field medical education activities by coordinating & supporting Field Staff in the execution of events
- Works with cross-functional teams to communicate and resolve medical education issues
- Demonstrates an ability to build trusting one-to-one and team relationships in support of implementing medical education strategies
- Communicates with enough clarity, quality and inter-cultural sensitivity when implementing approved capability changes, (system, process) both internally and externally
- Demonstrates ability to gain the confidence and cooperation of peers and leadership teams
- Builds networks within and outside the organization in support of document management and medical education plans
- Communication of sufficient clarity and quality to ensure successful implementation of an approved capability change, (system, process). Effectively represents the interests of own area of expertise in a cross-functional team setting
- Experience of effectively interacting with and presenting to senior stakeholders

**Basic Qualifications**:

- Minimum 4-6 years of pharmaceutical experience, preferably in medical education
- Strong attention to detail, prioritization, organization, and project management skills required
- Demonstrated abilities in the following areas: managing complexity, effective communication, and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative environment
- In depth knowledge of IMC code and internal compliance policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate metrics and results to optimize efficiencies and share best in class practices
- Proven examples of high learning agility and critical thinking in the development of educational projects is preferred

**Preferred Qualifications**:
Role requires strong understanding of medical education in Pharma for Canada
