The Cashroom Clerk is responsible for all receiving, distribution, and maintenance of cash & cash equivalent for SSP restaurants in the Edmonton International Airport.
**Essential Functions**:
- Management of the property safe including petty cash, cash drawers, and any/all monies to be deposited in the bank.
- Conduct and be responsible for cash audits. Perform weekly audits in YEG SSP units.
- Maintenance and cash balances of Glory safes. Ensure weekly maintenance are performed in accordance to set standards.
- Follow all property procedures involving any cash entering or leaving the cash room.
- Prepare bank deposits, change orders, and reconcile cash daily from prior days business. Reconciliation of deposits with amounts received in bank on a weekly basis.
- Prepare, order, and receive change orders from the bank in accordance with set standards.
- Accurately reconciling daily cash and vouchers of sales associates through Lynx BM, reporting variances, if any and closing the week on LynxBM as per set weekly deadline.
- Invoicing vouchers to airlines weekly and follow up for payment from airlines.
- Maintaining access controls on CI server including creating access for new recruits, deletion for separations, and modification of access, as necessary.
- Notify Director and Controller immediately about any cash discrepancies.
- Follow and prepare all required paperwork for financial reporting as required by Controller.
**Skills and Other Requirements**:
- Degree or diploma with specialization in Accounting strongly preferred (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum two years of cash room experience; or cash handling experience in a financial institution.
