**PROJECT MANAGER**

Mainstay provides engineering and owners representative services to help mining companies in Canada manage their capital construction and maintenance projects. Our multidisciplinary teams of qualified professionals have successfully overseen billions of dollars worth of projects in mining.

The Project Manager is to provide project management of complex and conventional engineering projects, develop and manage contracts and relationships with sub-contractors, industry partners, and clients. This position will be based in the Saskatoon office but will require travel from time to time.

We require a top performer to provide project management on engineering projects and to assist with building relationships that provide value to clients and to Mainstay. You will have experience in project management, a solid technical background and experience with all disciplines, and a sound understanding of project delivery. The primary duties include project management and delivery, client development, identifying project opportunities and leading preparation of proposals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide project management, including interface with clients and the development of project scope, schedule and budgets on major and conventional projects.
- Manage the development of project work plans, schedules and budgets.
- Establish contract budgets and scopes of work.
- Responsible for the successful completion of projects under their direction.
- Oversee the development of tender packages including drawings, specifications and cost estimates.
- Supervise the work of subcontractors.
- Assist with providing input for annual planning and quarterly forecasting.
- Participate in project performance reviews and risk reviews.
- Actively pursue opportunities for partnerships with other planning and engineering firms.
- Participate in and lead the preparation of proposals.
- Promote the Mainstay brand and build relationships with key clients and industry organizations to pursue opportunities.
- Other duties as needed.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- 10 years experience in project management.
- Experience in successful management and delivery of projects is essential.
- Demonstrated excellence with leading teams to deliver projects.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Client focused, always striving to give clients the best solutions.
- Strong commitment to innovation by creating new and better ways to solve clients’ toughest challenges.
- High levels of integrity, always doing the right thing in an ethical, fair, and sustainable way.
- Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence.

**Requirements**:

- Pre-access substance testing prior to any site trip to the client's operations.

**Assets**:

- P.Eng. license and registered with APEGS.
- Project Management Professional designation PMP.
- Relationships with local engineering clients.
- Safety certifications and training.
- Field experience on site and in an industrial or commercial setting.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on driving results and resolving project-related challenges.

**Work Location and Schedule**:
Saskatoon Corporate Office Monday to Friday
