**Job Description**:
We are currently hiring a COMSEC Custodian to join our corporate security team. Our Corporate security team members play a critical role in providing a safe and secure work environment. They actively monitor, assess and evolve security processes and protocols in real time to be compliant with government regulations and work with our internal teams on existing day-to-day activities. The

COMSEC custodian is responsible for a number of key deliverables including:

- Provide support to GDMS-C and GDLS-C London on COMSEC matters (appointments, training, documentation, etc.)
- Main contact to CSE COMSEC Client Services in regards to all COMSEC matters. To include ACMCA for new and existing contracts, guidance on COMSEC matters relating to opening, maintaining and operation of COMSEC support.
- Main POC to CSE Industrial COMSEC Account (CICA) - provide accurate and timely reporting of all transactions and incidents.
- Report and Investigate all COMSEC Incidents and report findings to Company Security Officer and Managers as required. Provide these reports to CICA and follow up as required.
- Provide support to existing contracts and new bids - including Government directives
- Provide guidance on new contracts/subcontracts on the establishment of COMSEC accounts, policies and procedures, as applicable. This includes support to joint venture companies in the establishment of their own accounts.
- Ensure all company employees that require a COMSEC briefing receive the appropriate training and refreshers.
- Address & report COMSEC issues/non-compliances
- Process incoming and outbound COMSEC shipments, including dismantling of CCI items & disposing of non-CCI items.
- Maintain the ability to operate all COMSEC equipment on our account, including various key loaders, by ensuring CSE training for all COMSEC staff is current.

Project and Other responsibilities:

- As the Project Security Officer, provide training for lab staff for security protocols/compliance & work with the project manager to develop & maintain training material.
- Provides and maintains the required Security Awareness & Training
- Support the Production Program Manager to maintain & comply to CNRE Security protocols.
Maintain Security compliance & requirements for the CNRE Program & PLA (Production Lab Area).
- Assist production personnel with the handling & transport of COMSEC items.
- As required, provide administrative support to Security personnel. This includes filing, printing, creating files, assisting with terminations.
- As required, package COMSEC and/or Classified items for transmittal, as per federal regulations.
- Assist with, or lead, internal security projects such as classified documents records system,
- Assist security team with updating security management systems (Lenel, SIMS, Milestone) on an as-required basis.
- Provide support to security team to include resetting security panels and troubleshooting issues.
- Provide on-call support for both COMSEC and Corporate Security functions, on a rotational basis.
- Some travel may be required.

Basic Qualifications:
Education & Experience:

- Able to work both independently and part of a team, be discrete and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Detailed understanding of the Canadian COMSEC regulations.
- Detailed knowledge of the IT Security Directive for the Control of COMSEC Material in the Canadian Private Sector (ITSD-06A).
- Detailed understanding of the Canadian Contract Security Program.
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in related field preferred or high school diploma, with combined experience accepted.
- Must either possess the following Government of Canada qualifications or be able to achieve them within the first year of employment: COMSEC Custodian certification and Canadian TOP SECRET clearance
Working knowledge of:

- Distributed INFOSEC Accounting System [DIAS].
- Government of Canada’s Security Program.
- Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
- Canadian Defence Production Act.
- Working knowledge of the US International Traffic in Arms Regulations.
