**Primary Duties**

**Education, Certification and Other Qualifications Required**
- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, Geomatics, GIS or equivalent related program, from a recognized College or University.
- Certified or eligible for GISCI (GISP) or OACETT (C.Tech or C.E.T) designations considered an asset.
- Experience using AutoCAD, GPS equipment, and FME.
- Experience working with utilities in a GIS capacity would be considered an asset.
- Excellent Organizational Skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy of work based on quality and program standards.
- Ability and desire to learn new information, work effectively with different departments, and adhere to the values of safety, integrity, innovation, reliability.
- Working knowledge of programming languages (e.g. VB, C#, Python).
- Manipulate tabular and spatial data, conduct spatial analysis, query the GIS database, and present data clearly and efficiently using maps and charts for use in internal and external assignments.
- Proficient use of computers and mobile devices (iOS, Android, Windows) to perform work in a highly technical, fast paced environment.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Access, Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Excel intermediate level.
- Knowledge and understanding of utility infrastructure and the operation of GPS equipment is preferred.
- Ability to read Utility Construction and survey drawings, interprets technical manuals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum direction coupled with an ability to work well in a team environment.
- Knowledge of CYME software, or background in Electric Utility considered an asset.

**Special Working Conditions/Conditions of Employment**
- A valid Class “G” driver’s license is a Condition of Employment.
