Vacant position effective immediately

Rate of pay: As per CUPE Collective Agreement ($30.86)

Terms and conditions of employment, including wages, are in accordance with the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Collective Agreement Local 3876.

Reporting to the Property Services Supervisor. Carpenter will be responsible for carpentry work within the regions and may be required to assist in after-hours emergencies.

**Qualifications and Abilities**:

- Journeyman Certificate (Red Seal) in carpentry, required.
- High school diploma.
- Three years’ experience in trade.
- Demonstrate good written communication and organizational skills.
- Broad knowledge of safety procedures and practices.
- Valid Nova Scotia Driver’s License and own vehicle.
- Own tools.
- Knowledge of repairing and/or replacing building components, such as, windows, doors, cabinetry, hardware, roofs, flooring, ceiling systems, and partitions.
- Experience in related trades would be an asset.
