We are currently recruiting for** Carpenters (2nd, 3rd, or 4th Year Apprentice & Journeyperson) **to join the team at the **Vancouver General Hospital project**

**Please note, there is the **possibility of working different shifts - afternoons, evenings, and weekends - as the project needs**

**Responsibilities**:

- Be able to comprehend blueprint readings and prepare layouts
- Understand industrial concrete forming, be able to build concrete forms, and other structures
- Complete rough and finishing carpentry tasks, while utilizing appropriate math skills
- Check completed units to be sure they are level, square, plumb and the right size, shape and location
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Organization and site clean up as per site HSE standards

**Requirements**:

- Preference will be given to a Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket from a recognized provincial training authority or be a Registered Carpenter Apprentice
- Non-ticketed carpenters must provide proof of hours relevant to the industrial Carpentry trade
- Experience with concrete formwork required
- Fall Protection and Confined Space is an asset
- Light equipment operating experience an asset
- Certifications needed, CSTS & WHMIS
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Describe and point out safety compliance and regulatory issues
