**Research & Development Technician**, you will take pride in knowing you helped create quality products that are enjoyed by customers internationally.

The R&D department operates on 2 shifts
- days & afternoons, from Monday-Friday.
- Current staffing priority is the **AFTERNOON** shift
- Safety Shoes are required._

**Your Responsibilities**:
The Research and Development Technician safely operates machinery, handles controlled substances to mix recipes, assists with some research and product development. How does this look? You will be:

- Mixing and testing materials.
- Filling and weighing buckets and pouring materials into the hoppers, bins and molds.
- Monitoring the processes to ensure proper operation.
- Removing finished parts from the machine, trimming and stacking materials.
- Monitoring machines for signs of damage and irregularities, troubleshooting or reporting issues.
- Inspecting finished product to ensure excellent quality.
- Documenting daily production numbers, lab results, production/equipment issues etc.
- Adhering to all safety procedures and company policies.
- General research as requested.
- Testing of all materials that may be used in the mixing process.
- Operate all lab equipment/machinery.
- Assist in conducting studies of new ingredients and compounds.
- Performing general housekeeping duties around machine areas.
- In the event of downtime, alternate work will be made available. Examples are, but not limited to: Press Machine, Compound, Grind Line Operations.
- Other duties as needed.

**Your Qualifications**:

- Reliable transportation, excellent attendance.
- Time-management skills and positive attitude.
- Good physical stamina:

- Standing for the duration of your shift.
- Able to lift more than 60 lbs. repeatedly over 8-hour shift.
- Working in the heat.
- Fast-paced and high-pressure work environment.
- Able to work as part of a team but also independently.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, basic math skills.
