Laboratory Analyst

**The researcher will be employed by Scatr to perform controlled experiments using the Scatr Raman spectroscopy mapping system. This is a collaborative project led by Western University and Scatr and supported by Health Canada with the goal of reducing overdose deaths in Ontario and all of Canada. The project will be conducted at Western University in the chemistry department. The associate will handle street-obtained controlled substance samples transferred from supervised consumption sites in Ontario. The scientist will be responsible for performing Raman mapping scans on these drugs as well as reference mixtures, and perform data analysis and reporting of results. They will also recommend improvements to our features. The researcher must be able to work and think critically, independently, and take ownership of the project with mínimal oversight. They must be organized, diligent, and must have graduated with an MSc. or higher within the last two years.**

**Education (MSc. or higher) can be in the fields of chemistry, biochemistry, engineering or a related field.**

**Salary**: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
