**The Opportunity**
The Technology Analyst (Cisco Networking) position is the information technology support pillar for the City of Barrie. This position works to ensure that technology infrastructure hardware and systems are working properly and to support first-line support staff. They plan and architect the infrastructure that is required for the City to operate. This position may provide input into technology purchasing decisions and participate on project teams and committees as required. Ultimately this position exists to ensure staff have working technology and quality training in order to allow them to do their own jobs effectively.

**Education **(degree/diploma/certifications)
- Four (4) year University Degree in Computer Information Systems, or related discipline
- Completion of a network or information technology based certification, such as Cisco or Microsoft certification or equivalent Upon Hire
**Experience**
- Five (5) years of experience performing duties related to the above mentioned major responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience installing, configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting computer network technology including wireless communications protocols, Windows servers, routers, data switches, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Microsoft 365, DHCP, DNS, WINS, and other networking protocols
**Knowledge/Skill/Ability**
- Working knowledge of the following principles and standards: Exchange Server, SQL Server, Backup/Archive software, and Linux; project management fundamentals and ITIL
- Demonstrated Ability to:
- manage vendor relationships and achieve desired performance outcomes while maintaining a positive working relationship
- commit to continuous learning and professional development
- Intermediate skills include: Interpersonal; Organizational; Problem Solving; Time Management; Training; Verbal Communication; Written Communication
- Intermediate computer literacy using the following systems and software: Windows Desktop and Server OS, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft SharePoint.

**Other Important Information**
**Location**: City Hall, 70 Collier Street, Barrie, Ontario,
- _Please note the City has recently launched a _**_Hybrid Work Program Procedure_**_ that may allow a hybrid work arrangement for employees who meet the eligibility requirements._
**Hours**: The normal hours of work are 35 hours per week in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
**Wage**: This position is within the CUPE Local 2380 Bargaining Unit with the following pay level and 2023 pay range:
- _Pay Level:_ Level 9
- _Yearly Salary: _$76,130.60 to $91,163.80 per year
- _Hourly Pay Rate:_ $41.83 to $50.09 per hour
