Norseman Structures has been in the protection and shelter business for over 100 years, starting with the fabrication of outfitter and exploration tents in the 1920s. Norseman Structures is looking for a **Quality Manager **to add to our team.

The Quality Manager reports to the COO, and works closely with the Construction, Manufacturing and Safety teams based in Alberta and Saskatchewan. The Quality Manager provides front-line support to the plant facility and construction sites to ensure that all quality guidelines are being adhered to. The Quality Manager will ensure a quality management system is maintained and updated as necessary to ensure that programs are implemented and administered applicable to a fabric building systems and in compliance with corporate, customer, statutory & regulatory requirements.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop, track, analyze and communicate plant and construction quality statistics
- Monitor the company’s compliance with applicable laws and maintain proper documentation
- Liaise with Internal and external agencies, and ensure reporting requirements are met and documented
- Collaborate with sales personnel and customers to ensure perceptions of the Norseman’s quality programs are favourable
- Respond to customer for Quality related reports, plans, programs, etc.
- Provide feedback to management relative to plant and field compliance
- Perform final production quality audits
- Provide Quality training to all those that will be required to track quality issues
- Proactively and actively monitor the construction Quality program
- Monitor and maintain all required records and documents to ensure that each phase of construction has been accomplished in accordance with the contract documents and industry standards.
- Implement and maintain core quality programs
- Evaluate client proposals to identify non-standard Quality requirements.
- Prepare formal QA/QC turnover packages for clients, as required
- Review prequalification packages for new subcontractors
- Evaluate awarded orders to develop a vendor document listing
- Support internal and external audits for compliance to A660, AWS and CWB
- Support maintenance of documentation regarding the ShelterSolution Process for revision control and regular updating
- Conduct quality audits for critical vendors

**Qualifications**
- 5+ years quality standards management experience
- Lead Auditor certificate and experience conducting internal quality audits
- Experience in quality related activities, with preference to ISO 9001
- Experience in training and giving instruction to others
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Flexible and adaptive to change
- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
