**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- To ensure set up of breakfast and/or evening refreshments in accordance with property and brand standards.
- To be knowledgeable of all breakfast and evening social recipes in accordance to the brand standards.
- To welcome guests to the hotel explaining facilities available and assisting with food and beverage service in order to contribute to guest satisfaction.
- To replenish food and beverage maintaining a pleasing display and taking into account number of bookings, number of guests and sales mix as well as tracking guest visitation times in order to properly monitor, maintain inventory and replenish food and beverage items to ensure proper stock levels and level of presentation.
- To clear away and wash used china/glass/cutlery from tables in accordance with property standards.
- Maintain cleanliness in the dining area, including tables, chairs, and buffet stations
- To be alert to/respond to guest’s needs ensuring special requests are dealt with or channelled to the appropriate department with documentation and follow up as required to achieve guest satisfaction.
- To interact with guests to make their stay more enjoyable and assist in identifying service recovery opportunities. To be available to guests during the duration of breakfast and evening social.
- To provide information on the local area providing prompt assistance to guests.
- To be informed on all property facilities/promotions as required by company policy.
- To ensure proper preparation/service/storage of all food items observing hygiene, health & safety procedures as required by law and by company policy.
- To assist in guest services and/or food and beverage areas (**meeting rooms**) as appropriate to the property achieving standards of service and guest care laid down in property and brand Standards & Procedures.
- To ensure timely and professional completion of set-up in accordance with property and brand standard and business levels.
- To carry out cleaning duties as per cleaning schedule communicating with housekeeping and maintenance as required in order to maintain the upkeep of the breakfast and/or lobby area.
- To assist with weekly food orders as well as daily, weekly and monthly inventories

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in hospitality or food handling is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact and help guests
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety guidelines and kitchen hygiene practices
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 8 - 16 per week
