**Hotel Overview**

The Pan Pacific Toronto Hotel (formerly The Prince Hotel) offers the best of both worlds - a welcoming oasis of calm amid the urban landscape. An exquisite property with 409 intimate guest rooms and 30,000 square feet of meeting space, two restaurants and a lounge in North Toronto, we are uniquely positioned to host a broad range of corporate, government, and leisure groups.

**Daily Tasks**
- Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner.
- Register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location. Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner.
- Up-sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue.
- Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions in accordance with established procedures including but not limited to posting all charges, completing cashier and other reports, preparing deposit, and counting/securing assigned bank.
- Balancing the revenue and expense transactions, which occurred during the day at the hotel
- Issue, control and release guest safe-deposit boxes.
- Communicate any outstanding guest requests or issues to management that may require additional monitoring or follow-up.
- Respond appropriately to guest complaints. Make appropriate service recovery gestures in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.
- May routinely book guest reservations for individuals and/or groups that are requested either by phone or from within the hotel; process cancellations, revisions, and information updates on changes.
- Promote team work and quality service through daily communications and coordination with other departments.
- Perform other duties as assigned including guest room.
- High School diploma or equivalent, plus one year front desk/guest service experience. Some college preferred. Must speak fluent English. Other languages preferred.

**Qualifications**
- 1-2 years Night Audit/Guest service experience Required
- Minimum of 1 year of hotel experience in Front Desk in a hotel or related industry
- Post-Secondary degree in Tourism/Hospitality
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office are required and knowledge of "Opera" is an asset
- Detail oriented, highly organized, energetic and outgoing, with a positive attitude, driven to provide outstanding guest service.
- Must be able to work in night shifts, weekends & Holidays
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Very strong oral and written communication skills required

**Salary**: $17.88-$18.58 per hour
