**The** **Production Support Specialist **is based on site in Ottawa, ON and will work under the supervision of the Senior Manager, Materials. **Siemens Healthineers Ottawa (SHS Ottawa) is a leading manufacturer of a clinical Point of Care (POC) diagnostic product. The epoc© Blood Analysis System is healthcare’s first cost-effective POC testing solution to leverage Smartcard Technology and wireless communication to provide caregivers with real-time, lab-quality blood gas, electrolyte, and metabolite results at the patient bedside.

As the **Production Support Specialist**, your responsibilities will include:
- Dedicated raw material, including consumables, support to Systems and Cap Tubes production lines
- Inventory Cycle Counts
- Support from area employees will be provided if needed for accurate counts
- Review/recount significant discrepancies and initiate follow-up actions with appropriate personnel
- Inventory transfers, cycle count adjustments and scrap transactions in ERP-System
- Supervision of Systems Kanban areas. Reordering and restocking of Kanban parts
- Initiate and drive process improvements for material handling.
- Backup and support of warehouse material handlers (part putaways, order preparation), if necessary.
As a successful **Production Support Specialist **you will have:
- Experience with integrated ERP-systems (SAP preferred, Oracle/JDE or other acceptable) strongly desired
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required
- Able to walk extended distances each day
- Can lift up to 30lbs
