Our primary objective is to manufacture parts to meet customer requirements while maintaining world class quality in all of our products and in all that we do. The successful incumbent will be responsible for working as part of the Operations Team to produce quality parts at a low cost and on time to the customer. The incumbent is responsible for efficient operation of the line and ensuring continuous flow of product through the manufacturing process.

Job Responsibilities:

- Set up, perform first and last off, monitor and adjust equipment, monitor Statistical Process Control (SPC) to new and established procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment, automation, throughput and product quality issues.
- Review process sheets, general assembly, and technical documentation to understand and execute job requirements.
- Minimize unplanned downtime by performing cleaning, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and minor repairs to equipment.
- Maximize production of quality product through continuous improvement initiatives, process monitoring, and proactive measures.
- Provide training and leadership to Production Associates to ensure quality and production requirements are met.
- Work in compliance with all Stackpole International PMDM Policies and Procedures.
- Provide positive feedback and input with an aim to continuously improve through the elimination of waste, non-conforming product and avoidance of potential problems.
- Assist Engineering, where feasible, to develop new jobs or make modifications to existing ones.
- Interact in a positive manner with maintenance and engineering to help solve any machine related problems, and with tool room and stockroom to help eliminate tooling problems.
- Actively participate in a positive, proactive manner in forums such as team meetings, “5S” activities, etc.
- Work in compliance with Stackpole PMDM Quality and EHS Policies and Procedures, including IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 / ISO 14001.
- All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

- Minimum Post-Secondary Mechanical Engineering / Manufacturing Technician Diploma or equivalent experience.
- Excellent work attendance record, positive attitude and passion to exceed all quality and quantity specifications
- Strong mechanical ability, familiarity with hydraulic mechanics.
- Strong technical ability including robotics and computers.
- Minimum 3-5 years related experience in a high speed manufacturing environment or equivalent.
- Track record of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience working in a lean manufacturing environment and demonstrated aptitude.
- Experience in setting multi-level die sets, computer numerical controls (CNC) & sequence controls.
- Team player with the ability to work with others in a team based environment.
- Must be able to read general assembly drawings (mechanical blueprints/layouts), and metric measuring instruments.
- Physically able to lift tools and adaptors.
- Demonstrated acceptable level of english and mathematical skills.
- Endurance, flexibility and energy level must be high.
