As a Banquet Hall Security Guard, you will play a vital role in upholding our commitment to maintaining a safe and secure environment during a variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings.

Position: Security Guard (Part-Time)

Location: Pickering Event Centre

Schedule: Flexible, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor and patrol the banquet hall premises to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property.
- Identify and respond promptly to potential security threats, disturbances, or unauthorized activities.
- Control access points, checking guest credentials, and maintaining an organized flow of guests entering and exiting the premises.
- Collaborate with event organizers and staff to ensure smooth operations and address any security concerns.
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility, including emergency exits, fire suppression systems, and surveillance equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and any security-related activities, reporting them to the appropriate authorities.
- Provide exceptional customer service, offering assistance and guidance to guests as needed.
- Stay updated on the latest security protocols, industry trends, and legal requirements to enhance your effectiveness in the role.

**Requirements**:

- Prior experience in a security-related role, preferably in a banquet hall or similar event setting.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to quickly assess and respond to potential security risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, staff, and external stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, demonstrating sound judgement and decision-making.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures, first aid, and CPR certification is an asset.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as per event schedules.
- Security licence required
- Driver’s Licence an asset
