Telecon is looking for a Hydrovac Operator to join our growing team. This role is based out of yard in Vaughan, Ontario.

Working under the supervision of the Foreman, the Hydro Vac Operator will assist in the installation of telecommunication cables and apparatuses to support the project construction team. They will also be responsible for driving various types of vehicles and trucks to transport equipment to project sites.

**YOU WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO**:

- Operating the Hydro Vac truck while maintaining the vehicle.
- Transport cargo and/or equipment in a safe manner.
- Complete the daily maintenance programs as per equipment specifications.
- Use various equipment to move and install material according to project plans.
- Complete Driver’s logbook & daily vehicle inspection (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), maintenance and repair reports, accident, or incident reports.

**THIS ROLE IS FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES**:

- 2 plus years’ experience driving a hydro vac truck.
- Valid driver's license (DZ license).
- Fully trained in the operations and maintenance of the truck and comfortable trouble shooting and minor repairs in the field.
- Comfortable around underground utility services.
- Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
- Must be able to lift 23 kg (50 lbs.).
- Must provide a clean driving record (abstract) and criminal check prior to employment commencing.
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Familiarity with CVOR requirements.

Pay: $40.57 per hour
