Responsibilities: - Seafood Selection: Work closely with the chef and procurement team to ensure high-quality seafood products based on freshness, appearance. - Handling and Preparation: Clean, fillet, and portion seafood according to Milos standards and customer preferences. - Merchandising: Display seafood products attractively to maximize sales and ensure proper storage and rotation of inventory. - Customer Service: Provide knowledgeable assistance to customers regarding seafood choices, cooking methods, and market selections. - Sanitation and Safety: Maintain cleanliness and adherence to hygiene standards in all areas of seafood handling and preparation. - Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inventory checks, and place orders as necessary to ensure availability of fresh products. - Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper handling of seafood to prevent contamination and ensure food safety. Requirements: - Experience: Proven experience as a fishmonger or similar role, with a deep understanding of seafood varieties, cuts, and preparation techniques. Minimum 5 years. - Skills: Exceptional knife skills and proficiency in seafood preparation. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards. - Knowledge: Strong knowledge of seafood quality indicators, sustainability practices, and industry trends. - Customer Focus: Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for providing outstanding customer service. - Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects, and work in a cold, wet environment. - Team Player: Collaborative attitude and willingness to support team members in various tasks.
