Reporting to the Manager Accounting and Budgets, the Junior Financial Analyst will assist with monthly and year-end processes. The successful incumbent will be responsible for preparing analytical reports and graphs; including evaluating the general ledger activities and balances, performing specialized analysis of financial and payroll data and ensuring corrective actions are taken in a timely manner for assigned responsibilities. Also, other related duties/special projects as assigned.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor in Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline with Accounting major.
- Enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program, completing Core and Elective modules or Capstone modules in achieving the CPA designation
- Understanding of GAAP and Ministry Information Standards (OHRS/MIS certificate) practices.
- Experience in financial analysis and interpretation of results including accruals, prepaid, budget variances and payroll analysis.
- Advanced computer skills specifically in the use of Excel and experience with Crystal Reports, Access, and Power Point.
- Strong working knowledge of financial software packages especially General Ledger and Payroll systems; MediTech financial systems experience an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Evidence of effective organizational, interpersonal, communication, leadership, judgment, critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a diversified workload, multiple task and work within tight deadlines.
- Flexible, self-directed and able to work effectively with mínimal supervision.
- Consistent and regular attendance required
- Proficiency in both official languages (English & French) will be considered an asset
