Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Sterilization Technician to join our dental team. The Sterilization Technician will be responsible for ensuring the sterilization of all dental instruments and equipment in accordance with the Infection Prevention and Control Policy of the College of Dental Surgeons of Alberta. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for our patients.

**Responsibilities**:

- Monday - Thursday with occasional Fridays
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments, equipment and treatment rooms following established protocols
- Prepare treatment rooms by setting up instruments, materials, and equipment needed for each procedure
- Assist dental professionals with instrument transfer during procedures as required
- Follow infection control guidelines to prevent the spread of diseases
- Documentation and recording of all sterilization cycles
- Perform routine maintenance on sterilization equipment
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment
- Assist other dental staff as necessary
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is preferred
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a asset
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Positive attitude
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
