Mayne Island Health & Research Society is currently seeking a motivated and dedicated Outreach Worker. As an Outreach Worker, you will play a crucial role in connecting with the community, and providing support to individuals in need. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact and contribute to meaningful change. The role is based in Vancouver’s Strathcona neighbourhood and will involve working primarily with at-risk individuals. Our office is situated in an eclectic Strathcona neighbourhood and is surrounded by great restaurants, coffee shops and breweries. Having your own car will be an asset for this role.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Have an excellent verbal and written English
- Have passion for working with at-risk population
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Have their own personal vehicle
- Patience, compassion and strong listening skills
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills
- Ability to work independently

Pay: $21.35-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
