Cambridge, Canada ATS Automation Tooling Systems Inc. Full time

MAJOR DUTIES:
Negotiates products and supplies for various commodities.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Sourcing new suppliers
- Placing orders
- Negotiating
- Expediting
- Preparing RFQ's for offshore purchases
- Inventory management
- Prepares J.D. Edwards purchase orders and blanket orders for approvals and appropriate signatures and files accordingly.
- Provides ongoing review and expedites where required for on-time delivery. Informs appropriate personnel of any deviation from agreed purchase order.
- Prepares reports and data as required.
- Adhere to all health and safety rules and procedures.
- Ensure that all business activities are performed with highest ethical standards and in compliance with ATS code of business conduct.
- Ensure that all business activities are performed in accordance to the ATS Confidentiality Policy.

Working with the Strategic Buyer team, you will need to:

- Have strong communication skills
- Have a positive attitude
- Be a team player have strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task
- Have a confident, professional approach to liaise and negotiate with suppliers

QUALIFICATIONS:
**Education**:
A post-secondary diploma or degree in Purchasing or equivalent. Enrollment or completion of the PMAC principles is an asset. Computer literate.

**Experience**:
A minimum of one year Purchasing experience in a machine shop, custom tooling or manufacturing environment.
