**PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION**

As a Underground Labourer in our facility, you are motivated and energetic and work well in a team environment. You have strong versatility and the ability to assist the underground crew in the performance of their duties.

**SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Adherence to policies and procedures by actively promoting a safe and productive work environment with crew members
- Accountable to meet safety compliance and assist with achieving projected work goals
- Report for work-fit and ready, positively engage in the day’s work activities by following directives and engaging as a team player, safely and efficiently performing daily work duties
- Address any unsafe conditions immediately, rectifying or isolating and reporting - STOP and CORRECT
- Minor maintenance on machinery or equipment
- Housekeeping
- Operate hand tools and power tools as required
- Assist with various tasks as required.
- Load out waste rock from shafts
- Understand the basic functions of the equipment for pre-operation inspection.
- Load/offload materials with forklift
- Attachment connection and disconnection (exchange)
- Other duties as assigned

**QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE**
- High school diploma (OSSD) or equivalency
- Valid driver’s license
- Previous experience as a labourer in an industrial or mining environment considered an asset
- Underground Hardrock Miner Common Core modules will be considered an asset
- Equipment operating experience will be considered as an asset
- NORCAT certificate will be considered an asset
- **Must** be able to comprehend written and verbal instructions as required to perform their duties in a safe and efficient manner

**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Ability to lift a minimum of 40lbs (18kg)
- Ability to use the bend, crouch, climbing and reaching motions
- Prolonged periods of standing or kneeling
- Ability to work in all working conditions and weather conditions (in acceptance of safe work conditions)
- Ability to work all shifts, including nights and weekends (flexible hours)
- Ability to work rotational work - 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off (12 hours/day) - if required
- Ability to travel, when and if required.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
