Sign Maker

Job Summary:

- Operate machines, use hand tools or power tools to cut, shape and fit materials to form parts and to fabricate components or products
- Load supplies into hoppers of dispensing units or manually align, feed or otherwise place materials into machines
- Screw, clip, glue, bond, weld or otherwise assemble parts and components to form final products
- Sand, trim, grind or clean products into final form using hand tools
- Clean work stations and remove scraps, dust, shavings or other by-products from machinery and surrounding area Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
- Assemble electrical systems and ensure the smooth functioning of wire-related components. Tasks may include wiring, soldering and testing electrical connections
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and use of protective equipment
- Deftness and attention to detail

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Proficient in English. Conversant in Mandarin/Cantonese will be a asset

Note: This is a paid position. Internship positions must also be paid according to labor laws.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
