Nomic was founded with the purpose of making biology easier to measure. To do this, we are untangling some of the most difficult problems in protein profiling.

Our team is combining DNA nanotechnology, high-dimensional flow cytometry, laboratory automation, and machine learning to develop the world’s highest throughput proteomic platform: the nELISA. In short, we are trying to do for proteomics what Illumina did for DNA sequencing.

We are building a diverse team of engineers, scientists, and world-changers. We like to break down difficult problems using a first principles approach, leveraging the latest breakthroughs from across the scientific and technological spectrum to drive our mission forward.

**About the Role**

As a Profiling Lab Operations Analyst / Associate at Nomic, you will be performing large-scale assays that measure complex, blood-based proteins and analytes. You will design and execute large-scale proteomic campaigns for our customers, as well as for our internal R&D team. You’ll be an integral part of our efforts to **_"scale n"_** by on-boarding protein targets on our platform that serve as fit-for-purpose proteomic assays. The role will involve substantial bench work, teamwork and attention to detail when identifying and troubleshooting for errors. Together with our team of associates and engineers, you will be expected to plan, execute assays and play a role in continuously improving our processes.

**What you will be doing**
- Assist us in scaling up our next-generation proteomics laboratory by being a great addition to the Profiling Operations team.
- Plan and perform large-scale assays on customer samples.
- Manufacture critical reagents that are used in our assays.
- Test and incorporate our newest assay iterations and automation workflows.
- Assist our associates and engineers in automating our assays.
- Lead and manage equipment maintenance and reagent organization efforts to maintain efficient laboratory workflows and inventory accuracy.
- Interface with our Laboratory Inventory Management System (LIMS) and QC/QA of samples, reagents, and assays.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Bachelors in a Biology-related field or equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of wet lab experience and 1 - 3 years experience in the Biotech Industry.
- Hands-on experience with molecular biology techniques, e.g. ELISA, protein expression/purification, SDS-PAGE/western blot, cell culture, and cytometry.
- Proficiency in flow cytometry and experience working with automated liquid handlers is considered an asset.
- Experience working closely with a scientific team.
- Strong time-management skills including the ability to effectively multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to document all work clearly and completely.
- Meticulous work ethic.
- ** Evening availability required (flexibility between 12pm-8pm and 2pm-10pm shifts, Monday to Friday).**
- _ Fluency in English is required as our customers and vendors are primarily located in the USA. In addition, this position will interact with our team members within our USA entity._
