MOTOR SPORTS WORLD is looking for a technical minded and customer-oriented Service Writer to join their team in Ottawa The Service Writer is the liaison between the customer and the technicians; communicating directly with customers, managing their needs and expectations regarding equipment service maintenance and repairs.

The main responsibilities and tasks of this role include:

- Providing excellent customer service and ensuring an ongoing commitment to the needs of the customer.
- Write descriptions of the problems or services needed to determine the type of service or repairs required.
- Understanding customer needs and provides them with a complete solution.
- Manages customer concerns and problems promptly.
- Deals with challenging situations in a professional manner.
- Completes and reviews repair orders with customers, advising customers on the importance of maintaining their machines.
- Estimates cost and time for service and repairs needs. Ensures final invoice is the same as estimate and vehicle is delivered on time.
- Acts as liaison between customers, parts and technicians and manages the status of work orders.
- Submission of warranty claims for manufacturer warranties.
- Track repair orders, parts requests, unsold repairs.
- Schedules service and repair appointments.
- Perform walk around on customer's vehicle with customer present.
- Operates computerized work order systems.
