**Job Summary**
**As a Manager, Procurement you will**
Tactically procure cannabis to optimize facility and commercial operations.
- Mentor and coach procurement staff.
- Support creation and maintenance of tools to for cost controls, supplier and product compliance
- Develop and implement KPIs
- Approve min / max inventory levels and forecasts.
- Source and approve new suppliers to support existing and new product opportunities.
- Ensure spend approvals are maintained in line with the delegation of authority (DOA) matrix.
- Negotiate and route supply contracts to execution.
- Support team in resolving order status exceptions, issues with supplier contract compliance, and post-receipt actions to all internal cross functional stakeholders.
- Ensure optimized purchase order management which support production schedules, suppliers’ price break points and storage restrictions.
Strategically identify cost savings opportunities and develop market insights.
- Lead cost savings initiatives for their teams.
- Demonstrate excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Conduct cost analysis on inbound materials and maintain optimal benchmark rates.
- Identify and resolve risks to supply continuity.
- Support the sourcing and qualification of suppliers.
- Issue and manage RFQs, providing recommendations to the Manager of Procurement.
- Build and support strong long-term relationships with suppliers.
- Identify waste and seek opportunities for cost reduction in the supply chain.
- Lead key initiatives as required.
Work cross-functionally with commercial, operations & QA to source and develop new materials sources.
- This will include coordinating both the product qualifications & vendor set up activity.
- Ensuring all cross functional team needs are recognized and met.

**If would be great if you have**
- Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain or related discipline.
- 2+ years in production or manufacturing environment would be an asset.
**Bonus points if you have**
- Excellent communication, time management skills and ability to prioritize.
- Ability to mentor and coach direct reports.
- Excel at working independently and with exceptional problem-solving skills
- Ability to create and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Worked with Sage X3 or other ERP systems, Microsoft Power Bi, Smartsheet, or other analytical tools
