As a Grocery Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our store maintains a well-organized and fully stocked grocery department. You will work closely with our customers and team members to create an outstanding shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include:
**Key Duties**:
**Stocking Shelves**: Replenish and arrange grocery products on shelves to maintain a clean and well-organized store layout.

**Product Rotation**: Monitor product expiration dates and ensure the oldest items are brought to the front for sale first (First In, First Out).

**Customer Assistance**: Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with product inquiries, locating items, and offering product recommendations.

**Price Labeling**: Accurately price and label products, ensuring price accuracy and adherence to promotional offers.

**Inventory Management**: Assist with regular inventory counts, restocking orders, and reporting any discrepancies or shortages to management.

**Store Cleanliness**: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the grocery department, including sweeping, mopping, and keeping display areas tidy.

**Safety Compliance**: Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials and following food safety regulations.

**Merchandising**: Assist with creating eye-catching displays and promotions to attract customers' attention to featured products.

**Assist Team**: Collaborate with fellow team members in various store departments, providing support as needed to ensure overall store success.

**Adaptability**: Be flexible to work in various areas of the store as needed, including cashier duties during peak hours.

**Delivery**:Transporting products from the warehouse to retail store as needed.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records.
- Basic math skills for price labeling and inventory management.
- Physical stamina for lifting and moving heavy boxes (up to 50 lbs).
- Prior grocery clerk or retail experience is a plus but not required.
