Under the supervision of the Manager, Geomatics and informational assets, the incumbent is responsible for the collection, updating, analysis, processing, compilation, integration, and diffusion of spatial reference data in the form of thematic maps and engineering plans, as well as in the geomatics inventory infrastructure of the Montreal Port Authority (MPA). In particular, the incumbent will:
**Carry out precision survey and monitoring work on all port facilities and infrastructure**
- Perform infrastructure and installation surveys using precision surveying tools in accordance with recognized standards (GNSS, Total Station, level, etc.).
- Ensure localization, installation and validation work for the construction and repair of MPA infrastructure and facilities.
- Ensure the quality of the terminals and markers of the geodesic network under the responsibility of the MPA and ensure the accuracy of the coordinates and information.
- Maintain the quality and availability of the GNSS services for correcting the MPA’s permanent base stations.
- Plan and carry out geodetic monitoring surveys to detect infrastructure movement and deformation.

**Ensure data is up to date by assisting in the collection, capture, analysis, processing, integration, and conversion of spatial reference data**
- Ensure the integrity, accessibility and completeness of spatial reference and descriptive data in MPA systems.
- Carry out quality control, analysis, processing and updating of spatial reference and descriptive data in centralized corporate geomatic systems while ensuring the integrity, accuracy and usefulness of the information.
- Design, develop and implement geoprocessing tools to automate geospatial data processes.

**Create spatial analyses and thematic maps**
- Plan and ensure that the mapping standard is up to date and integrated with the digital mapping of the area.
- Create maps, plans, reports and technical documents using technical spatial reference data for cartographic representation.
- Design surface shapes, alignments, contours, digital terrain models, reports, graphics and 3D visualization.

**Design computer-aided plans and technical drawings (CAD)**
- Provide advice, validation and assistance in preliminary project and design study scenarios, including terminal development, rail network expansion and improvement, and the development of parking, building and other infrastructure.
- Calculate surface areas, volumes, capacities, spot elevations, and validate maps in plans.
- Prepare and design various plans by performing the necessary calculations and validations (lease plans, location plans, etc.).

**Manage the archiving and indexing of infrastructure plans and technical documents**
- Research engineering plans in the management and classification system.
- Assist in the digital archiving, indexing and storage of technical plans and documents.

**Help maintain and support the MPA’s various geographic information systems (GIS).**

**Collaborate with the MPA’s Marine Operations Department in processing and managing hydrographic and bathymetric data.
