**Mission**

**Primary responsibilities**
- In the framework of engineering projects, conduct geotechnical and concrete characterization studies, field work planning and execution, laboratory analyses and compilation of results.
- Act as a field work supervisor.
- Geotechnical investigations:

- Supervise field investigation work for geotechnical and environmental boring, exploratory trenches, and manual boring.
- Perform in situ testing (SPT, Nilcon scissometer, etc.).
- Perform material sampling in compliance with standardized practices.
- Install observation wells, vibrating wire piezometers, etc.
- Write daily field work reports, including soil and rock description.
- Concrete characterization:

- Supervise concrete coring work.
- Conduct non-destructive tests (corrosion potential, ground-penetrating radar, ultrasound)
- Ensure proper equipment functioning.
- Coordinate and verify field and warehouse material inventory.
- This position involves a combination of office and field work, as well as telework.

**Profile**
- Diploma of college studies - DCS- in mineral technology or civil engineering or any other training deemed equivalent with experience in geotechnical field investigations (Minimum of 6 years for an intermediate technician and 10 years for a senior technician)
- Solid understanding of geotechnical investigations, mastery of environmental sampling methods with excellent written and verbal communication skills in French
- ASP Construction card and sensitivity to personal safety and workplace
- Endurance, ability to lift loads of 20-25kg and stand for long periods of time and workday and night in conditions that can be extreme outdoors, summer, and winter
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence and car for travel throughout Quebec and southern Ontario
- Mastery of the Office environment adapted to teleworking.
