We are seeking an Exploration Geologist to join our team, reporting directly to the Vice President Exploration.

ABOUT US

Northisle Copper & Gold is a BC based mineral exploration company with a principle mineral asset in the north Vancouver Island region. The North Island Project is a dual stage copper-gold porphyry district-scale project with two confirmed deposits and several mineralized occurrences that are being actively explored. The expansive and highly prospective mineral tenure covers an area 50 by 8 km.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in Geology or similar; advanced degrees welcomed.
- Registered, or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
- Familiarity with mineral resource and reserve modelling highly regarded.
- 10 years’ experience in mineral exploration environment with copper porphyry experience highly regarded. Some of the industry experience can be substituted with additional graduate studies, alternate complimentary work or research.
- Experience working in BC regulatory environment highly regarded and permitting and site safety oversight experience an asset.
- Experience or exposure to processes for planning and supervising drill programs is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
- Skill with 3D modeling software, geological database software and mapping software. Experience with Geospark, Genesis, LeapFrog, ArcGIS, QGIS or other similar geological software packages are highly regarded.
- Ability to walk significant grades and lift 20kg.
- Valid BC Class 5 driver license, or eligible to obtain BC driver’s licence.
