We are looking for a Lubrication (Lube) Person to work in our Carbon Maintenance department as part of a robust and safety-oriented team. This role will interface with a variety of site stakeholders to ensure an efficient delivery of lubrication services to various equipment across the department. This temporary assignment is estimated at 6-months and has a Monday to Thursday, 10-hour, day-shift schedule.

- _ Working hours can include 12-hour shifts, nights, and weekends, depending on the assignment._

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will:

- Contribute to safety and efficiency by constructively participating in safety meetings, incident investigations, and working in accordance with Rio Tinto safety standards
- Complete lubrication inspections on various equipment such as pumps and gearboxes
- Collect oil samples for testing
- Complete oil changes on pumps, motors and gearboxes when required
- Complete routine greasing and lubrication activities on various equipment across site
- Identify and implement hydrocarbon improvement opportunities
- Use computer-based maintenance programs to access, update and enter information
- Work effectively as an individual and within a team setting, including communicating respectfully to all team members and stakeholders

**What you’ll bring**
- A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
- High school graduation or equivalent
- A minimum of a Class 7 valid provincial driver’s license
- Mechanical aptitude
- You will have a willingness to learn and enthusiasm to develop new skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate in English (oral and written) and work within a team environment
- A commitment to Rio Tinto core values, including Care, Courage, and Curiosity
- Willing to work varying shift schedules as assigned, including rotating 12-hour shifts (rosters include both days, nights, and weekends)

It will also be beneficial if you have:

- Automotive or Mechanical certification or relevant lubrication experience
