Or/pacu Assistant

KDH is seeking an OR/PACU Assistant to join the team on a temporary part-time basis. In addition to the hospital’s requirements for commitment to the Mission and Philosophy of Care, the following are requirements for this position:
**Qualifications**:

- Grade 12 education;
- Knowledge of Sterile Environment;
- Ability to do heavy work including lifting and transferring patients, moving/lifting large pieces of equipment;
- Current CPR Certificate;
- Knowledge of Hospital Housekeeping duties;
- Lifts and Transfers training;
- Knowledge of medical terminology;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Effective organizational skills and abilities;
- Good attendance and work performance required, and
- Ability to work independently and as a team member is essential.

**Starting wage**: $22.68/hour

**Please note**: In order to work in a healthcare facility, _the Public Hospitals Act 1990_, _Regulation 965_ requires all employees to provide proof of up-to-date immunization/vaccines for the following diseases: Tuberculin Skin Testing (TB), Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Tetanus/Diphtheria (DTap), Influenza (during flu season) and three COVID shots. This proof must be provided to our Occupational Health Office in order to be cleared to work.
