Sunderland: S995 River Street Sunderland

**Labourer - Maintenance Operations (Temporary)**

Incumbents will:

- Assist in the repair, inspections and maintenance of water, sewer and road systems
- Operate tandem and single axel vehicles to perform winter maintenance activities
- Perform shift, standby duty and overtime work and can respond quickly to afterhours emergency
- Perform other related duties as assigned

Applicants will:

- Possess a Grade 12 diploma
- Have a valid Ontario Class 'D' Licence or higher with 'Z' endorsement and in good standing
- Have previous experience working with the various installation, maintenance and repair procedures for the roads, water and sewer systems including winter maintenance activities
- Have the ability to maintain neat and accurate records
- Have the ability to deal effectively with the public and to work co-operatively with co-workers
- Be capable of heavy lifting, bending and twisting

**Labourer Job Rate**
- $30.50 per hour

**Conditions of Employment**

Proof of education, qualifications and any other job bona fide requirements will be required prior to start date. A current Driver's Abstract will also be required.

In addition, all new hires must be fully vaccinated upon hire to meet the Region's Mandatory Covid-19 Vaccination Policy. As required, exemptions will comply with the Ontario Human Rights Code.
