As a contract physician you will have a longitudinal relationship with a patient panel, work on 15-20 minute appointments, have 6 weeks paid holidays, no overhead and an option to renew if you love the practice. We are located 1 hr 15 from Calgary and the International airport and 1 hr 45 from Canmore and nothing but nature’s playground to the West You can have it all We are open to practice sharing as well

Not sure rural medicine is for you? Come try it on for size in a mentored environment. We mentor those new to practice & those new to rural practice by working alongside you until you are comfortable in our ER and our hospital rounds. Then we are always available anytime questions come up.

In addition to this mentorship, we also have a formal backup physician in ER. ER shifts are 10 hours daytime,14 hours night with backup physician in town (together you do 24 hrs). Call is 1-2 weekend shifts per month and 1 shift per week on average with an option to do more. Hospitalist shifts are 1:4-1:5 weeks. We are live with Connect Care in hospital here.

The clinic team is a multidisciplinary team that works and plays together. We have SW, MH, CDM nurse, Lifestyle & exercise coach in the clinic. The clinic is modern & fully computerized with sit/stand workstations and Accuro EMR. We sport a team lunch room, telehealth room, and procedure room. We are a teaching site for the U of A & U of C family medicine programs for both residents and medical students.

We have physicians who offer contraceptive procedures (IUD and Nexplanon insertions), u/s guided joint injections, obesity managment, and Teen & Pediatric mental health. We all work on 20 minute appointments with a 90 minute lunch break. We offer 2 evening clinics a week and a Saturday clinic as well. We are flexible with clinic scheduling to accommodate both other interests as well as family needs.

In addition, we have 2 clinic retreats a year, music at the workstations, and a clinic that was built for protection of its staff and patients before Covid 19 was a thing For physicians in their first 5 years in practice, we are eligible for the RESIDE signing bonus of $45 000/2 years or $80 000/3 year commitment

Furnished accommodations are available to rent until you get your own place. There are open positions with the Myron Thompson Health Center for sponsorship positions.

**Salary**: $225,000.00-$380,000.00 per year

COVID-19 considerations:
We provide PPE and have dedicated exam room for symptomatic patients, whom after a virtual visit, are deemed to be needing an exam. We have built in HRV which “cleans” air in the exam rooms every 20 minutes as well.
