Reporting to the Director, Administration, the Manager, Budget and Financial Analysis provides financial advice and oversees transaction processing for all operating, research and specific purpose projects, and other related projects and activities of the Faculty of Applied Sciences. In consultation with the Director, Administration and Faculty's senior management, the Manager prepares all financial forecasts and budgets for the Faculty of Applied Sciences. The Manager develops and implements budget forecasting procedures; provides professional advice and assistance to School Managers and School Directors at SFU Burnaby and SFU Surrey. The position compiles Faculty Allocation Model input data for the purpose of the Faculty's enrolment planning. The Manager, Budget and Financial Analysis prepares monthly variance analysis information; and develops standard and customized monthly financial reports to support senior management planning and decision making, financial analysis, and accreditation activities. The Manager provides support by coordinating the operations of the Faculty's buildings, including ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, renovation and repair of the building systems and replacement of furnishings.

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Business Administration (Accounting major), with a professional accounting designation (CPA) and five years of related work experience, including experience in financial management within a corporate or university environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
