We are looking for an outstanding analyst to support managing our capital project to fixed asset process as well as our capital leases.

Minimum Requirements:
- University degree, preferably Business, Finance or Accounting related, with a minimum of 5 years experience.-
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite with strong working knowledge of Excel, as well as working knowledge of SAP and Power BI beneficial.

**Responsibilities**:
- Delivers base Finance / Accounting services and supports ad hoc requests relating to Asset & Lease Accounting.- Reflect asset and lease transactions within SAP and the external financial statements- Generate reports and analysis such as Fixed Asset and Lease Continuity schedules, quarterly reporting requirements, account reconciliations, depreciation variance analysis, and monitor for internal controls and SOX compliance.- Collaborate with asset & lease accounting stakeholders such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Project resources, Auditors and external reporting team to ensure accurate financial representation.- Adhere to department processes, procedures, and SOX controls- Focus on efficiency to improve existing processes- Understand and enforce the depletion, depreciation, amortization of assets as well as capital lease valuations as per IFRS16.- This position will build an understanding of Suncor Finance processes, expand business knowledge as well as educate on business needs.

Location and other Key Details:
- You will work out of our Calgary head office, located in the Suncor Energy Centre at 150 - 6th Ave S.W.- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday- Depending on the nature of the role, we have implemented a Hybrid Work Model to provide our employees with more flexibility.
