**POSITION**:Physiotherapy Assistant

**STATUS**: Permanent Part-Time

**DURATION**:Permanent

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Physiotherapist Assistant Diploma or equivalent education at a recognized College

**Job Expectations/ Functions**:
The successful incumbent will complete the tasks for the role of Physiotherapy Assistant. Some tasks or functions required of this position may be:

- Follow assigned treatment plan independently for residents, including the use of skilled techniques as deemed appropriate by the Physiotherapist
- Lead a group of residents in a specified group exercise program at the frequency and time specified by the Physiotherapist
- Monitor the client’s ability and accommodate any changes from baseline. Report back to the Physiotherapist the need to change/adjust the program.
- Instructs safe use of assistive devices and walking aids, as per Physiotherapist
- Clean and disinfect exercise equipment after each use
- Report resident concerns and outcomes to team members and supervisors
- Always ensure resident safety
- Document daily programming attendance
- Other duties as assigned by Physiotherapist
